August premiere for Roslund & Hellström’s Cell 8 on Viaplay
Cell 8, a six-part adaptation by Roslund & Hellström, premieres this August 28 on Viaplay.
A man presumed dead (Freddie Wise, Poldark) is arrested for assault on a Finnish ferry, throwing detectives Mariana Hermansson (Mimosa Willamo) and Ewert Grens (Leonard Terfelt) into a mysterious and increasingly dark series of events. The international cast also includes Kristofer Kamiyasu (The Princess), Sarah Stewart (Unforgotten), Lily Dodsworth-Evans (Poldark), Nikol Kollars (Foundation), Richard Lintern (Silent Witness), Victor McGuire (Trollied), Leon Herbert (Outlander) and Donald Sage Mackay (Deep State).
Cell 8 is written by Dennis Magnusson (Box 21) and directed by Johan Brisinger (Thicker than water). Executive producer is Anders Roslund.
